Sudden Staycation

i had to put classes on hold following a Covid exposure (outside the training center), and a positive test. My symptoms have passed, and I'm ready to resume all classes on 1/12. As soon as I got the positive test result I reached out to everyone I had contact with since my exposure. Thankfully, no symptoms have been reported. Also, I was blown way by the support and well wishes from my students. My wife and I share a small apartment, so we had no option to isolate from each other. The first few days were nerve-wracking. As the days passed and neither of us developed serious symptoms, I was relieved to have her with me. I'm also very glad that both of us were fully vaccinated, and we'll be scheduling boosters as well.
Since gradually resuming classes under Governor Baker's reopening plan, this was the first time i had to close the training center because of Covid. Sadly, it seems likely it won't be the last time. I understand the desire to return to pre-Covid habits, but we have to live with it for the foreseeable future. Please don't come to class if you or anyone in your house feels sick. If you have any questions, you can see the Covid policy any time by clicking the Covid/FAQ button on our homepage. Thank you to all of my students for your continued support. I can't wait to see you back on the mats.
Wishing you health and happiness,
